Seeing farm animals and their owners suffering through drought made us question what we could do to help. 

We begin by asking our local supermarkets for any stale bread that we could use to feed farm livestock. 

Starting in the Liverpool area with only one van picking up daily from one supermarket we started delivering not only bread but discarded fresh produce (fruit and veggies) to the farmers and their livestock in the Southern Tablelands.

We've consistently grown since then, picking up from multiple sites everyday and delivering approximately 15 tonnes of food for livestock each week.

Due to the helping hands of our amazing community we feel that in some small way we are helping the farmers to keep their livestock alive and at the same time reduce the level of landfill in our environment.

February 2020 Farm Aid Australia will be 1 Year old .  

With a couple of weeks to go we are on target to have picked up, loaded, unloaded and delivered to farmers,  500 tonnes of  feed for their Livestock

We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. We strive to provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference. 

Our Aim is to:

• Provide feed for livestock to small farmers that are affected by the drought and cannot afford to purchase feed, 
• Reduce landfill by up-cycling discarded fruit,veggies and bread in an environmentally sustainable way and 
• Alleviate stress and mental health issues affecting farmers facing financial problems caused by drought and the ever rising price of livestock feed.
